Jane Magnolia

The Jane Magnolia (Magnoliaceae) is a flowering tree that blooms tulip shaped flowers in late spring. Unfortunately, this picture was taken in late July so no flowers. I'll make sure to revisit it in spring to get a picture of the tree in full bloom. Jane Magnolias are grown in the form of a bush or small tree and are proud members of the “Little Girl” group. Little Girl group? Sounds like a Japanese rock band but instead, it's a group of hybrid magnolias rock-in across the U.S of A since the 1950's. Keep Rock-in Little Tree.
